How do you find an article when you only have a citation?

For example,

Sometimes databases provide citations, instead of the full text of articles.
Sometimes instructors assign students a list of article citations, but don't provide the actual articles.
Sometimes you might want to track down an article you saw listed in a bibliography.

How do I know if the library subscribes to a particular periodical (journal, magazine, or newspaper)? You need to check two places.

Electronic Journals A-Z -- This resource will tell you if a particular journal is available full text in any of our databases. However, it does not know what we have in print or microfilm.
Library Journals -- Check the EWU Library Catalog to see if we have a particular journal in print or microfilm. Note the call number for the journal and format (print or microfilm) for the year you need. It usually links to online versions as well, but not 100% of them.
