How to Find Books

To find books in the EWU Libraries, use the EWU WorldCat Catalog.

What's the catalog?

The catalog is a database that lists the books, periodicals, government documents, conference proceedings, videos, maps, electronic books and other materials owned, subscribed to, licensed, or otherwise made available by the EWU Libraries. It also lists materials owned by Summit Libraries, a consortium of academic libraries in Washington and Oregon, as well as thousands of other libraries.

When you do a search, the catalog shows items held by EWU Libraries first, then Summit Libraries, and lastly other libraries, labeled WorldCat Libraries. You may request materials by clicking on the red Request button. Summit Libraries items usually take 3-5 business days. WorldCat Libraries items usually take 1-2 weeks.

For detailed assistance on searching the EWU WorldCat Catalog, see the library website Find Books, Videos, CDs.
