How to Find Books

To find books in the EWU Libraries, use the catalog.

EWU Library Catalog opening search screen

What's the catalog?

The catalog is a database that lists the books, periodicals, government documents, conference proceedings, videos, maps, electronic books and other materials owned, subscribed to, licensed, or otherwise made available by the EWU Libraries.

If you know the title or the author of a particular book, just click on Title or Author. (For authors, type in last name, first name.) But a lot of times you don’t have a particular book in mind. Click on Keyword to find books about a topic.

EWU doesn’t have the book you want? Search the Summit Catalog!

From within the EWU Catalog, click the Search Summit button, or go directly to Summit. Search Summit the exact same way you do the EWU Library Catalog.

Once you find a title you want, bring up the full record, and click on # Summit libraries have this item to see if copies are available. You can request the book be sent to the JFK Library (or any other participating Summit library). This takes 2-4 business days.
