Find Call Numbers

How do I use the Call Number to Find an Item in the Library?

To find an item in the library, you need the Location and Call Number so you will be looking in the right area. Next notice the Status. Is the book on the shelf or checked-out?

An example of a book location, call number, and status is given below:

Location - Call Number - Status

In the JFK Library, periodicals and reference books are on the main floor. Other library materials are on the upper and lower floors.

Location and Call Number Maps are available at the Reference Desk to determine where books, periodicals, and other library materials are shelved.
