What's on the Web?

The web is made up of billions of documents that may be created by anyone from first graders to experienced researchers to political lobbyists.

The web is a great place to search for current information. Finding scholarly information on the web is much more challenging, mainly because the search engines rank based somewhat on popularity. Scholarly web sites aren't going to be the most popular site to view.

Many documents on the web can be searched using search engines. Other documents, called the "invisible web" cannot.
